Meter data collected in water networks may contain a large proportion of anomalies that decrease the value of the data significantly. Is this also the case for you data?

To try the meter data testing tool, only an Excel file containing timestamps and observations is needed. The first column has to include timestamps and the second column observations. Download an example of a test file here.

The tool includes seven tests that can be used detect coarse anomalies in a data set. For more information on the methodologies behind the tool see here, or see the help text on the ? next to each test.

A default parameter set is proposed when a test has been selected; however, it is possible to fine-tune the parameters by selecting other values in the drop-down menu next to each test.
